Cathybert is a passionate biomedical engineer and social innovator with a vision to transform healthcare delivery across Africa. With a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience in biomedical engineering, she has dedicated her career to solving critical challenges in medical technology access. She founded PearlOxy in 2023 to address one of the most pressing healthcare problems in Uganda: unreliable oxygen supply in health facilities.
As CEO, Cathybert leads the overall strategic direction of the company, spearheading product development, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising efforts. She believes in innovation with impact — designing solutions that are practical, scalable, and life-saving. Under her leadership, PearlOxy is shaping the future of oxygen delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa and building partnerships that will make the MPOS system accessible to every healthcare facility that needs it.
