PearlOxy FAQ's
Got questions about PearlOxy, our MPOS system, or how you can get involved? Here are some quick answers to help you learn more.
What problem is PearlOxy solving?
PearlOxy is addressing the critical shortage of reliable medical oxygen in healthcare facilities across Uganda and Sub-Saharan Africa. Power outages make oxygen concentrators unreliable, while oxygen cylinders are costly and difficult to maintain. Our MPOS system ensures uninterrupted oxygen supply, saving lives during emergencies.
What is the MPOS system?
The Medium Pressure Oxygen Storage (MPOS) system is an innovative, patent-pending device that works alongside existing oxygen concentrators. It stores oxygen in a 2000L tank and automatically switches over during power outages, providing up to 2 hours of continuous supply for 3 pediatric patients.
Who can benefit from PearlOxy’s technology?
Hospitals & Health Centers: Reliable oxygen backup during power outages.
NGOs & Governments: Cost-effective healthcare intervention for public health systems.
Investors & Partners: A scalable, impactful solution with strong market potential.
How is the MPOS different from traditional oxygen cylinders?
Unlike oxygen cylinders, which are expensive, heavy, and require complex logistics, the MPOS system is:
More cost-effective
Easy to transport (wheelable design)
Seamlessly integrated with concentrators
Specifically built for Africa’s power-challenged healthcare settings
